Path puzzle

Find the route before the grid closes on you.

Threadline is a daily iPhone path puzzle where the clean answer has to touch every cell, reach each numbered knot, and still leave room for the end.

The path can look open for ten moves and still fail because one corner got stranded.

The route is the whole puzzle

Threadline is about finding a path that stays possible. The numbered knots give the route direction, while the every-cell rule turns the empty spaces into constraints.

Start with reachability Before drawing a long line, look for corners, narrow gaps, and cells that could get sealed off too early.
Respect the knot order The nearest number is not always the next answer. The solve only works when the route reaches knots in sequence.
Make the last square matter The final knot cannot arrive early. A good route saves the finish until the board has been fully used.

Common path-puzzle mistakes

Closing a loop too soon

A small loop feels clean, but it can leave the remaining cells outside the route with no way back in.

Ignoring a corner

Corners often need an entrance and an exit. If both disappear, the route has already lost.

Rushing the last knot

The final numbered knot should also be the final cell, so reaching it early is usually the wrong path.

Path Puzzle FAQ

Is Threadline hard?

The rule is simple, but the path can be tricky because each turn changes what cells remain reachable.

Is this like a Hamiltonian path?

The core challenge is Hamiltonian-path-style: visit every cell once. Threadline also asks you to reach numbered knots in order.

Does it track me?

No. Threadline has no account, no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking.
